Fianna Fáil is the second most popular party in the country according to a new opinion poll - a position it has not held in over two years.

The survey in tomorrow's Irish Times newspaper shows Labour also gaining support, with drops for Sinn Féin and Fine Gael.

This IPSOS MRBI poll for the Irish Times was conducted across the country on Monday and Tuesday.

It shows support for Fine Gael at 31% - down a point since the last comparable poll in May.

Labour goes up two to 12 points, but Fianna Fáil is the big winner going up four to 2% - putting the party in second place for the first time in over two years.

Sinn Féin sees it support drop four points to 20%, while the Greens, Independents and others are on 16% - down one.

Satisfaction with the coalition has dropped six points, as has the satisfaction rating of all the party leaders, with the Taoiseach remaining the most popular.

Significantly one third of voters polled said that they were undecided who they would vote for.
