Annual Cumann na mBunscol Chill Dara Cross Country
The Milltown Team that won the Cumann na mBunscoil Boys A Intermediate Cross Country Race.
The annual Cumann na mBunscol Chill Dara Cross Country event was held again this year in the wonderful Rathcoffey GAA facilities. All races were well attended with over 1200 children from all over the county taking part. After a few days of heavy rain the condition of the running track held up well and the races were of a very high standard.
The smooth running of this event is all down to preparation, so go raibh mile maith agaibh to the teachers who prepared the children for this event. Also thank you to all for registering your teams well in advance.
Some notable achievements on the day were Charlie McCabe (Milltown), winning this event for the second time with a great time of 3.25. The fastest girls time on the day was Ailbhe Byrne (St. Brigid’s Ballysax) with a time of 3.47. The best team score of the day was Maynooth Boys N.S. with a total of 25 points.
