Another crucial goal for Chris Idah

Sam Neville splits the UCD with thoughtful pass
KLUB Kildare started their first game in the Elite Phase with a draw against UCD in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park on Sunday.
This was a hugely entertaining game played at full pace for the ninety minutes and if this is the quality of play in the Elite phase we have a lot to look forward to for the remainder of the season.
As early as the 13th minute Vuyo Mosea showed how dangerous he could be as his well hit shot was touched over the bar by the UCD keeper Noah Douglas.
Two minutes later Vuyo once again showed his class when he beat player after player and having got into the box had the easy task of poking home for the opening goal.
Klub Kildare were very much on top at this stage and continued to create chances but between good luck for the visitors and inability to take the chances the score remained at 1-0 until half time.
Klub Kildare continued to impress until UCD equalised in the 75th minute after slackness in the defence allowed Conor O'Neill in towards the goal and he made no mistake in levelling the tie. Eight minute later, the game was well and truly turned on it's head wen the Dublin side took the lead through a well struck shot by Cilian Petcher.
Throughout this season, when this team has needed a hero, Chris Idah has stepped up time and time again and once again he showed his class with an outrageous late equaliser. He picked the ball up on the halfway line and carried the ball a long way and although it looked like the UCD defence were shepherding him away from goal, he managed to beat the UCD 'keeper with a superb strike from the tightest of angles to add to his list of important and brilliant goals this season to earn Kildare a point.

Klub Kildare face Treaty United next Sunday in the second round of the Elite phase.

The U15s got back on winning ways with a 5-2 victory over Limerick on Saturday in FBD Hotels and Resorts Park.
It took twenty-seven minutes before Ben Iwegbu – recent signing in the transfer window – opened the scoring for Klub Kildare when he shot home from the edge of the box.
Iwegbu was to prove a handful for the Limerick defence for the entire afternoon.
Seven minutes into the second period, Iwegbu stepped up again following good work down the right wing and he was set up once again on the edge of the box and made no mistake for his second goal.
Mat Galvin added to the score and Liam Curtis got his first goal for the Club but unfortunately got a rather harsh red two minutes later.
Klub Kildare continued to play well despite the one-man advantage.
Limerick pulled a goal back in the sixty first minute only for Eoin Doyle to chip in with the goal of the game.
Caleb Darcy Mc Namara pulled a goal back late in the game but Klub Kildare were deserving winners with good performances from Eoin Doyle, Ben Igwebu, Nathan Banka and Matt Galvin

The game was settled in the last minute with superb strike from under 13 player Josh Brogan.
