Founded in 1995, Athy Jiu-Jitsu is one of the country’s longest-standing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu clubs and “has played a pioneering role” in the growth of the sport across Ireland.

The anniversary event will bring together past and present members together with coaches, and supporters “to celebrate the club’s legacy, achievements, and continued commitment to martial arts and community development in Kildare.”

Their jiu-jitsu curriculum is designed to empower students with the skills needed to defend themselves confidently in any situation. Athy Jiu-Jitsu is led by three highly respected black belt coaches: Michael Aldridge, Andrew McConville, and Shane Kinsella. “Each brings a wealth of experience, technical expertise, and a passion for teaching,” Mr Eustace said.

“Their combined knowledge ensures that every student, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners, receives top-tier instruction in both the art and science of jiu-jitsu.

“Beyond the mats, Athy Jiu-Jitsu Club is known for its friendly, supportive atmosphere. The coaches and members foster a sense of community, respect, and continuous learning.”
