Calling all supercar fans!

One of the most spectacular automotive events ever to visit Kildare is about to arrive at Barberstown Castle this Thursday. On Thursday evening, June 11th, around 45 of Ireland's most incredible supercars will begin gathering at Barberstown Castle in Straffan, Co. Kildare ahead of the start of The Bumblebee 1000: The Eddie Jordan Supercar Roadtrip.

The public is invited to come along and witness some of the world's most exciting, rare and desirable performance cars up close before they depart on their three-day adventure in aid of Little Blue Heroes, the Garda-led charity that supports families of children living with serious illnesses throughout Ireland.

The road trip honours the late Eddie Jordan, the legendary Irish Formula One team owner and motorsport icon who sadly passed away in March 2025.

From late Thursday evening, the historic grounds of Barberstown Castle will be transformed into a showcase of automotive excellence as supercars worth millions of euro arrive from across the country. Then, on Friday morning, June 12, the convoy will depart the castle at 9.30am to begin its epic journey across Ireland.

Among the headline attractions will be not one, but two McLaren Senna hypercars. A true modern automotive masterpiece, the McLaren Senna is one of the most extreme road-legal track cars ever produced. Built between 2018 and 2019 as part of McLaren's prestigious Ultimate Series, it was named in honour of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, widely regarded as one of the greatest racing drivers of all time.

The Senna is celebrated for its uncompromising aerodynamics, producing up to 800kg of downforce at 155mph. Every aspect of the car was designed with performance in mind, resulting in an incredibly lightweight machine powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 800bhp. Seeing one McLaren Senna is a rare occasion. Seeing two together in Kildare is almost unheard of.

And they won't be alone, visitors can also expect to see an incredible line-up of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Porsches, Audis, BMW M cars, Mercedes-AMGs, Nissan GT-Rs and many more automotive icons. For car enthusiasts, photographers and families alike, this will be a unique opportunity to experience some of the world's most desirable supercars in one location. Barberstown Castle provides the perfect backdrop for the event, combining centuries of Irish history with some of the most advanced and exciting cars ever built.

As engines fire into life on Friday morning and the convoy departs through Kildare, Dublin, Meath and beyond, spectators will witness the beginning of a remarkable journey that celebrates not only incredible machinery but also the memory of Eddie Jordan and the invaluable work of Little Blue Heroes.

Whether you're a lifelong motoring enthusiast or simply curious to see some extraordinary vehicles, Barberstown Castle is the place to be on Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Don't miss the chance to see some of the most exciting supercars ever made as they gather in Kildare before setting off on one of Ireland's most anticipated motoring adventures.
