Celtic legend John Hartson is the latest big game to be confirmed for Allenwood Celtic's 'Legends in the Wood' fundraiser, which is sponsored by KMECH.
Hartson played for Arsenal, West Ham and Wimbledon, among others, and won 51 international caps for Wales, but is remembered best for his time at Celtic where he scored over 100 goals and won a whole host of trophies.
He will manage the Premier League Legends XI when they take on an Allenwood Celtic Select on Friday 23 May.
On the playing front, former Everton and Portsmouth striker Yakubu and Jermaine Pennant, who played in the 2007 Champions League final for Liverpool, are the latest additions to team that already includes Brian McClair, Stillian Petrov, Wes Brown and Keith Gillespie.
The sponsorship of the event by KMECH, a company founded and owned by former Allenwood Celtic, Kieran Moore has also been a tremendous boost for the event.
A launch night for the event where the names of the players who will be representing the Allenwood Celtic team will be happening in the coming weeks also.
