True Love is highly fancied to win today’s Irish 1,000 Guineas, her odds having shortened since stablemate Gstaad won yesterday’s Irish 2,000 Guineas.
Prior to Gstaad’s success in the colts’ equivalent race, the three-year-old filly was 10/11 to win today’s feature race, but has since shortened to a price of 4/5.
Similarly to yesterday’s market for the Irish 2,000 Guineas, as hot favourite, True Love leaves the remainder of the field largely unbacked, with her next closest rival in the betting - stablemate Precise - a distant 3/1. Godolphin’s Abashiri follows at 5/1, with every other runner in the race priced at 16/1 or longer.
If True Love wins today, she will become Aidan O’Brien’s 12th Irish 1,000 Guineas winner. The race takes place today at 4.30pm at the Curragh.
