Gardaí in Co Donegal were forced to deploy a stinger after an alleged drunk driver failed to stop at a checkpoint.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning in Burnfoot village.
Gardaí were operating a crime checkpoint when the incident happened.
They signalled the driver to stop, but he failed to do so, and gardaí were forced to deploy a stinger device to stop the car.
When breathalysed, the driver was found to be five times over the limit.
The vehicle was seized and the driver was charged with a number of offences.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Never take risks when it comes to road safety. Never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs."
