The Green Party has closed its nominations for deputy leader, with two candidates being chosen.
The deputy leadership will be contested between Louth Councillor Marianne Butler and Dublin City Councillor Hazel Chu.
Voting opens next week on January 26th at midday and closes on the 28th of January at midday.
The result of the deputy leadership contest will be announced after voting has been completed and ratified.
The party said it would like to express its warm gratitude to former Deputy Leader Róisín Garvey for her work in the role.
The party's current leader is Roderic O'Gorman, who was re-elected on May 1st, 2025. He is the only member of the party in the current Dáil as he looks to rebuild after a disastrous 2024 general election.
