Into Kildare host lunch for new members

Aine Mangan, CEO Into Kildare, David Mongey, Chairperson Into Kildare and Tracey Power, Palmerstown House Hotel

INTO Kildare, the official tourism body for the county, welcomed 40 members to a lunch held at Newbridge Silverware earlier this month to highlight the attractions in Kildare, and also to introduce new members such as Palmerstown House Estate and the Heritage.

The event allowed attendees to explore Newbridge Silverware’s visitor experiences including their iconic Factory Tour, the celebrated Museum of Style Icons.

The guests also got the opportunity to see the new film costume exhibition, in association with the Irish Costume Archive Project, and running for the next year at the Museum of Style Icons.

Into Kildare also promoted their series of upcoming events including the ‘Taste of Kildare Festival’, which will run from the 20-22 September at Naas Racecourse.

Other major events happening in the county in the coming months is the Rose of Tralee Tour at Newbridge Silverware and the Women’s Irish Open at Carton House, from 29 August to 1 September.

Members also welcomed new members, Palmerstown House Estate and the Heritage.

Palmerstown boasts an historic period residence, a clubhouse, an award-winning 18-hole championship golf course, and a walled garden with natural amphitheatre acoustic qualities, all set on 900 acres in Kildare and within easy reach of Dublin city centre.

The Heritage, located on the Kildare-Laois boarder in the village of Killenard, is a world-class hotel featuring a spa.

It has several dining outlets and Ireland’s only Seve Ballesteros-designed championship golf course.
