Kilcullen GAA will host the official opening of its long-awaited Field of Dreams on Saturday 20 September from 2pm, marking a major milestone in the club’s history and the local community’s development.
Kilcullen GAA, driven by rapid growth and on-field success, has launched an ambitious redevelopment to meet the needs of its thriving community. The new Field of Dreams features expanded playing facilities, a floodlit training area, skills wall, and a community walkway, brought to life through years of planning, fundraising, and local support.

The Grand Opening on 20 September promises to be a family-friendly celebration with games, exhibition matches, music, refreshments, and appearances from well-known GAA figures. A highlight of the day will be a fireside chat with inter-county stars following the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Trevor Schwer, Chairperson of Kilcullen GAA said: “This project is a testament to the spirit, ambition, and unity of our club and community. The Field of Dreams represents a place where future generations will grow, play, and succeed.”
