A MAN who allegedly threatened to burn down a family home with members inside was instructed to continue bail.
James O’Donoghue (42) with addresses at Old Road, Kildare Town and Junction 12, Killow East, Co Clare was charged with two counts of threats to endanger the life of a family and the family home under Section 3 of the Criminal Damage Act.
It is alleged that on 13 December 2023, the accused was living in a caravan in Kildare Town near the house of the injured parties and was playing loud music. Gardaí were called in relation to the noise, which is when the accused allegedly threatened to burn down their house.
The case came before Naas District Court Judge Desmond Zaidan last week in an application to transfer the case to Solicitor Tim Kinnelly’s office.
The accused was remanded on continuing bail until 5 November.
