Kildare pupils produce their own Nationalist newspaper!

Students from Ms Fitzpatrick’s fifth and sixth classes at Churchtown NS in Athy put their heads together to create their own school newspaper, ‘The Nationalist’.

The fantastic newspaper featured articles penned by the students about various topics such as school news, farming, sports and fashion.

The students used Chromebooks to type up their finished articles and create the newspaper to make the finished product.

Proud teacher Ms Fitzpatrick said: “Everyone picked a topic that they were interested in and they wrote an article based on this.

“The pupils loved making the newspaper and it is on sale now in Churchtown NS.”
