St Laurences ended the reign of Eadestown atop the Kildare LGFA tree with a wonderful win in this evening’s Joe Mallon Motors Senior Football Championship final at Cedral St Conleths Park.
Eadestown went into the game looking for their sixth successive title but were beaten by a hungry and determined St Laurences.
The difficult weather conditions meant a low scoring game but Laurences always had an element of control in a 0-9 to 0-6 win.
The scorers for St Laurences were: Marie Kealy 0-5 (2fs), Aoibheann O’Sullivan 0-2, Ciara Wheeler 0-1 and Miah Ryan 0-1.
