The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said it mobilised to 41 calls involving wildfires on Tuesday.

A man in his 50s sustained a serious head injury in the assault in Ballygawley, Co Tyrone.

Detectives said they seized cannabis with an estimated street value of around £200,000 (€241,455) in Ballygawley on Tuesday

Kamile Vaicikonyte, who died in a crash on the A5 earlier this year, had been a pupil at St Ciaran’s College in Ballygawley.

A second driver was taken by ambulance to Sligo University Hospital.
