Áine O’Reilly has been named as the victim of a fatal crash near Boher, Co Limerick. Gardaí are appealing for information after a driver fled the scene.

The incident took place at around 9.45pm on the N24 at Cordangan Cross.

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital as a precaution

The woman, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene

Mary Lowry (57) wept as the judge imposed the sentence after hearing emotional testimony from the victim’s family.
