Investigations are continuing after a Bus Éireann driver was shot in the face with an airgun in Limerick yesterday

The streets of Limerick are about to become a lot quieter as the city rolls out an electric bus fleet

The incident happened just outside Milltown in Co Fermanagh on Sunday evening

Over 308 million journeys were made on public transport last year

The age limit was increased to include people aged 24 and 25

The accused are alleged to have entered into an agreement that prevented, restricted or distorted competition in trade in the provision of school bus services

The results, which highlight fare evasion rates on public transport bus companies over an 18-month period to June 2023, were released under freedom of information legislation.

The iconic building has transported millions of passengers since services commenced on October 19th, 1953.

All bus services out of Limerick bus station have been cancelled after a number of drivers took unofficial industrial action in a row over new spare driver rosters
