Revolved around the illegally parking in a disabled bay at Portlaoise hospital

A DRIVER who swerved to the wrong side of a street while eating a kebab was fined €300 at Portlaoise District Court. Garda O’Hanlon said the car was in the wrong lane on Main Street, Mountrath and he saw the driver eating from a kebab tray.

Joe Drennan, from Mountrath, Co Laois, was waiting at a bus stop when Kieran Fogarty ploughed into him whilst driving a black BMW car, killing him, on October 13th last year.
