Police have launched a murder investigation after the death of a woman – named locally as Amy Doherty – in Co Derry.

The 1998 Good Friday Agreement largely ended decades of violence in Northern Ireland.

Stormont Speaker Edwin Poots said he would look into whether First Minister Michelle O’Neill had misled the Stormont Assembly.
