Kilcullen's Jack Courtney and his Ireland team-mate Aidan O'Hara have been crowned WDF World Cup Youth pairs champions following a nerve-shredding final win over Turkey in South Korea on Friday.

Kilcullen teenager Jack Courtney is preparing to play in a darts World Cup final on Friday morning after advancing to the decider of the WDF Youth Pairs tournament in South Korea.

When Jack Courtney first threw a few darts at a board in his home, South Korea was far from his thoughts. He was only five, after all. A decade later, he’s headed there in September, on the Irish team for the WDF World Cup.

Move over Adam Dee, Carlow has a new darts superstar as Kilcullen’s Jack Courtney secured a tour card for the JDC Advanced Tour for 2025. The youngster won the second tour and the second tour card of the day on Saturday at Q-School.

A Third Year student at Kilcullen's Cross and Passion College was a member of the Irish Junior darts team at the DartAsylum JDC World Cup held in Gibraltar last week.
