Gardaí and the emergency services were alerted to the fire at 6:20am on Tuesday.

The woman has been named locally as Rita Brick (75), who was a native of Mount Pleasant Avenue in Wolfe Street in Limerick city.

It broke out in the Mountain Park estate in Tallaght on Wednesday evening.
