A man in his 20s was seriously injured in an alleged attack on the Tucker Street area of Castlebar in the early hours of Saturday August 23rd.

At 2.50am, gardaí received a report of a male unconscious after an alleged assault outside a licensed premises on Tucker Street.

The MDMA was seized following a search, under warrant, of a premises in Castlebar.

The Taoiseach was reportedly pushed and jostled while campaigning in Castlebar and Westport on Sunday.
