The sanction followed a finding of two allegations of professional misconduct and poor professional performance proven against pharmacist, Martina Geraghty, by an inquiry of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.

On Friday, Judge Garrett Simons dismissed the student's application for anonymity in the case he is bringing against the Trinity Provost, Fellows and Scholars, and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.

The sanction followed three findings of professional misconduct and poor professional performance made by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland against Gareth Johnston, a qualified pharmacist from Lanesboro, Co Longford and owner of a chain of three pharmacies in Longford and Galway.

The student, who retains his anonymity, took legal action against the Provost, Fellows and Scholars of the University of Dublin Trinity College Dublin and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
