Venus and Saturn are set to align with the crescent moon on Friday morning in a rare astronomical event.

The partial eclipse will occur at 3.45am and 4% of the moon will be covered.

During a supermoon, the moon appears up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter compared with when it is furthest away.

For about 80 minutes on Saturday, the full Moon will look very weird with a 'bite' missing from its lower edge
