A 24-year-old woman has died and a man has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash in north Belfast.

Police said Shane Caulfield, 21, from the Portadown area was pronounced dead at the scene

Micheál Martin said during Leaders’ Questions he would meet the families of those killed and injured.

Police have urged the public not to share a distressing image from the scene in Newry which has been circulating.

One vehicle was involved in the incident close to Lixnaw on Saturday evening.
