New figures show a total of 5,780 complaints were reported to the Luas operator, Transdev, during 2025.

The group branded it  “very disappointing news” to staff, according to The Irish Times.

An inspection of the George’s Dock Bridge, which carries Luas trams in Dublin, showed visible buckling of steel while concrete lost most of its structural strength.

The Luas Green Line remains out of action, with city businesses warning of lost trade as engineers work to fix a critical power fault.

The news comes following severe damage to George's Docklands bridge by a recent fire in the area.
