Police said Sean Small (84) had suffered a ‘brutal and sustained’ attack in Newcastle.

The body of 84-year-old Sean Small was found outside a property in Newcastle, Co Down, on Sunday evening.

Chief Inspector Adam Ruston said the local community will be ‘in shock’ after the incident.

A murder investigation has been opened after a man was found dead in Co Down.
