Daire McCormack George (31), with an address at Cabra Road, Phibsborough, Dublin 7 is charged with the murder of Scott George at Drumans End, Tobersool, Balbriggan in County Dublin on December 12th 2024.

They had spent an average of nine years at the facility before being approved for conditional discharge by the Mental Health (Criminal Law) Review Board, with two of the individuals having been detained for less than seven years.

After they had delivered their decision, Judge Tony Hunt thanked the panel for their "prompt verdict", noting there was no reason for a jury to "pretend to deliberate on things when there is nothing to deliberate on".

Deirdre Morley, who was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the killings, is seeking a judicial review of the decision of Dublin District Coroner Dr Myra Cullinane on October 7th.
