A jury at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork has convicted Alex Deady of Glenview, Convent Road in Doneraile of the murder of 44-year-old Barry Daly.

A man has told a murder trial that he knew father of five Barry Daly was “gone” when he and his three friends found him unresponsive

Alex Deady (21) of Glenview, Convent Road, Doneraile in Co Cork and two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are on trial at a sitting of the Central Criminal Court in Cork.

Under cross-examination by Defence Barrister Tom Creed for Deady, she agreed with his description of what had occurred as being “almost like a concerted attack.”

Alex Deady and the two teens were arraigned at a sitting of the Central Criminal Court in Cork on Thursday.
