Mohammad Shaker Al Tamimi was charged at Gorey district court last night with the killing of eight-year-old Malika Al Kattib, who died after an assault at her home in New Ross on Sunday night.

Malika Noor Al Katib, eight, died after she suffered stab wounds in the early hours of Monday morning.

Gardaí continue to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the death of Malika who was a student at New Ross Educate Together Primary School.
