Some roads leading to Dublin Airport were closed and several apartment block basements in north Dublin were flooded overnight.

Met Éireann issued a yellow rain warning for Dublin and Wicklow.

A nationwide status yellow wind warning will come into effect at 3am on Tuesday morning and run until 9pm.

The warning begins on Friday at 11 am until 5 pm.

The wettest November was in 2009 (278.8 mm), and the driest was in 1942 (33.2 mm).

The warning will come into effect at 2pm on Sunday until 9am on Monday.
