A Co Mayo man is walking barefoot across Europe to set a new world record and make money for two charities

Dr Patrick J. McNamara, first-born son of Padraic and Eileen McNamara, Bohernasup, and a distinguished alumnus of St Muredach's College, has spent his career pushing against the boundaries of what medical science once deemed impossible.

The Fleadh Cheoil in Wexford will feature a world record attempt including a group that hails from the birthplace of the Guinness World Records, Castlebridge

Vinod Bajaj has clocked up more than 83,000 km walking various routes around Limerick since 2016.
