A man who was charged with trespassing and theft at a Naas manufacturer was granted bail.

Thomas McDonagh (20) of Bay 7 St Macullins Park, Matt Lane, Balbriggan, Dublin, is charged with trespassing and theft at Irish Dog Foods factory site at Maudlings, Naas.

It is alleged that Mr McDonagh trespassed onto the site on 28 September 2025 and took two ladders and a quantity amount of tools.

At Thursday's sitting of Naas District Court, Garda Aoife Creedon said that the man allegedly accessed the yard by scaling the fence on the property before taking the items from the premises. It was also allegedly observed on CCTV that he put the items in a grey Passat car.

Following a summary of the case details, the accused was granted bail on the condition that he stay out of Naas Town unless attending court, that he sign on daily at Clondalkin Garda Station and provide gardaí with the correct phone number and abide by a curfew of 9pm to 7am.

The defendant was instructed to return to Naas District Court on 15 October for a hearing.
