Castletown Liam Mellows the Wexford Intermediate B champions were far too strong for Kildare's Moorefield as they advanced to the quarter final with a comprehensive 6-19 to 0-4 victory.
The win was secured with only 30 minutes on the clock as opening half goals from Robbie Brooks with two and Conor Carty left it 3-9 to 0-4 at the break.
Reece Gavin converting four Moorefield frees in response to a dominant CLM.
The second half didn't improve much for Moorefield as they could only ad a fifth Gavin free and the dismissal of Cian Brannigan on 49 didn't make it any easier.
CLM added three second half goals through Donal O Toole, Joe Gardiner and Sean Og Stafford but in truth the Wexford champions were only seeing out the clock over the closing 15 minutes.
With CLM advancing Moorefield's season comes to an end and with a place in the UPMC Senior Championship proper for 2025 they have plenty of work over the winter.
