Disability bus parking needed at Whitewater Shopping Centre

THE prospect of a disability bus parking space for the main entrance to Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge has been raised.
At the most recent meeting of Kildare Newbridge Municipal District, cllr Peggy O’Dwyer brought forward a motion requesting that the council install a disability bus parking space at the main entrance to the shopping centre on Moorefield Road. Cllr O’Dwyer is a member of the Newbridge Disability Access Group.
A council reponse stated that the road at the main entrance to the shopping centre has not been taken in charge and the council does not have responsibility for the road, it is unable to carry out works at the location.
It remains to be seen if Whitewater shopping centre and other stakeholders will work towards installing a disability bus parking space at the entrance.
