‘Exciting’ update on proposed Athy to Allenwood bus route

After working on this for a long time, Senator Mark Wall has revealed that the expression of interest (EOI) process has started for a seven day service along the Athy-Kilberry-Kildangan-Monasterevin-Rathangan-Lullymore-Allenwood route.

“This is a significant step toward improved public transport in our community,” he said.

According to the Labour politician, the process is expected to wrap up in 8-10 weeks.

“If successful, we could see the new 888 service operational before the end of Q4 2024,” he explained. “Please note that all dates are indicative until a contract is finalised.
