Garda appeal following serious assault in Naas
The assault occurred in Naas in the early hours of Sunday
Gardaí in Kildare are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault which occurred on North Main Street, Naas in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident which occurred shortly after 2.45am.
A male (aged in his 30s) was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Gardaí have preserved for a technical examination.
A male (aged in his 20s) was arrested for public order offences and has since been released.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Any persons who were in the vicinity of North Main Street between 2.20am and 3am on Sunday and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
