Get rid of your old paint for free

If you’ve got old tins of paint taking up space in the spare room or the shed, read on!

A free domestic waste paint recycling event will be held in Naas on Saturday 28 September, specifically for domestic customers, at the council HQ – Áras Chill Dara.

The event will run from 9am until 2pm.

Households are encouraged to take this opportunity to undertake a clear out and dispose of such waste responsibly.

Waste paint in plastic or metal cans – maximum of 25L per delivery – will be accepted for recycling for free on the day.

What won’t be accepted is any other types of oil, grease, fuels, inks or other similar type products, commercial operators, or charity companies.

The council has advised that all categories which fall outside of this scheme can be recycled as normal at any Civic Amenity Site during normal working hours.
