Gorse fire in Wicklow Mountains as firefighters continue fighting Tipperary wildfire

A gorse fire has reignited in the Wicklow Mountains as firefighters in Tipperary continue to tackle wildfire flare-ups on Slievenamon.
The National Parks and Wildfire Service said it is continuing to assess the Glencree gorse fire in Co Wicklow, with a helicopter conducting a full survey of the scene this morning.
People are urged to stay away from the area, with a fire said to be "developing", while local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors shut.
The Military Road is closed to facilitate firefighting operations and due to the large amount of smoke in the area.
Meanwhile in Tipperary, firefighting efforts on Slievenamon have entered their sixth day, with some "hotspots" being closely monitored.
Authorities are currently concentrating on the north-eastern side of the mountain. Additional specialist equipment has been deployed as the focus shifts to ground-based operations.
Tipperary County Council said smoke may continue to be noticeable on the eastern side of Slievenamon, and local residents, especially those with respiratory conditions, are advised to take appropriate precautions.
