Hit-and-run incident in Newbridge

AN INVESTIGATION is ongoing following a hit-and-run road traffic collision that knocked a young boy off his e-bike.
The incident occurred on Saturday, April 5 at approximately 10pm at Standhouse Road at the junction with Standhouse Lawns, where a young boy was struck by a vehicle while riding his e-bike.
The victim sustained injuries to his shoulder and ankle as a result of the collision.
The vehicle involved, described as a black Volkswagen Golf, was travelling from the Curragh direction and failed to stop at the scene. It was last seen heading towards the junction of Morristown Road.
Gardaí are urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who may have witnessed the incident, seen the black VW Golf, or who has relevant dash cam footage, to come forward.
