Investigation commences into two Kildare houses fires

Fire swept through two homes in Newbridge, Co Kildare on Thursday night.
The houses were in Pairc Mhuire and Rosconnell, and the attacks were reported around 9.45pm an 10.45pm respectively, but fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
There is local speculation that the acts were deliberate.
One local describes the Pairc Mhuire property as “unlivable now”.
Gardaí have only confirmed the occurrence of the events and are refusing to comment on any of the attendant speculation.
“Gardaí and emergency services responded to a report of a fire at a residence in Páirc Mhuire at approximately 9.50pm last night, Thursday 15 May, and later to a report of a fire at a residence on Rosconnell Road at approximately 10:55pm,” said a spokesperson.
“No injuries were reported, and the scene is preserved pending a technical examination. Enquiries are ongoing”.
The fire service has yet to respond on the attacks.
Last year, there were a series of fire attacks on homes in Newbridge.
