Kildare connections team up at Newcastle to continue remarkable winning run
Jockey Conor Whiteley
Kildare trainer Adrian Keatley and jockey Conor Whiteley, both now based in England, teamed up at Newcastle to continue a remarkable run of form on Thursday evening.
With Whiteley, originally from Monasterevin, delivering a peach of ride, Aisling Oscar recorded an incredible seventh win in a row going back to the end of January.

It was Whiteley’s third win since the turn of the year, two during that superb winning streak on Aisling Oscar, but Keatley’s winning run is even more incredible.
A 5/1 win by Mostar Dreams in Newcastle on 9 January started the streak for the trainer and his last seven runners have all been winners.
Speaking to Sky Sports racing about Aisling Oscar’s seven-in-a-row, the winning jockey said:
"There aren’t many horses who have done that. He’s done it well, but he probably travelled a touch stronger than I thought as they went a good, decent gallop, but he’s a trier, and when he gets his head down, he stays galloping.
"You feel like he’s improving every time since I last rode him, and since he’s won again. I feel like he’s improved, so hopefully he can keep going."
Looking at what might be next for the horse, Whiteley said:
"I don’t know what Adrian will do now, so we’ll leave that down to him, but every time he steps up, he tries his hardest. I’ve definitely got a strong feeling he’ll go close again on his next run."
Keatley will look to continue his winning run in the glamorous surroundings of Meydan in Dubai when he saddles Kihavah in the Group 3 Al Khail Trophy at 6.10pm on Friday evening.
