Kildare estates to be taken in charge

Kildare County Council has begun the process for the taking in charge of The Meadows and The Paddocks housing estates in Newbridge.
The council is considering the move which would see the local authority take responsibility for roads, footpaths, public lighting, open spaces and surface water systems in the estates.
Members of the public can view the plans online and they can also be inspected between 7 July and 5 August at Devoy Park, Naas.
Submissions can me made online through the council’s consultation portal or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Development Control Section, Kildare County Counci.
The deadline for submissions is 5pm on 19 August.
