Kildare firm wins EV Dealership of the Year

A KILDARE company has been announced the as the national winner of the 2026 ZEVI EV Dealership of the Year Award.

Fitzpatrick’s Garage Naas received the accolade at a presentation ceremony at the SEAI Energy Show, at the RDS in Dublin. 

This annual award organised by the Zero Emissions Vehicles Ireland (ZEVI) and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) recognises outstanding effort in encouraging electric vehicle (EV) uptake in Ireland.

CEO of Fitzpatrick’s Garages, Sean Lyons  said: “We are honoured to be awarded the 2026 National EV Dealer of the Year again after winning in 2022 and 2024. It is a tremendous accolade and great recognition for our fantastic team. We at Fitzpatrick’s are totally committed to this goal, assisting our customers to make the transition, providing them with electric vehicles that suit their needs and budgets, and ensuring we protect our environment now and for future generations.” A panel of industry experts crowned the national winner based on broad criteria, including EV visibility, salesperson expertise, sales approach, EV-specific training, sales performance, and the quality of each dealership’s online presence.

Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien TD said: “Ireland is seeing record levels of electric vehicle sales in 2026, reflecting the growing confidence of consumers in cleaner, more sustainable transport options. The dealership awards recognise the dedication and expertise of car dealers who are supporting customers to make the transition to electric vehicles and helping to accelerate this shift.”
