A KILDARE lotto player had plenty to celebrate following the midweek draw after matching five numbers and the bonus to win an incredible €338,152.
The winning ticket was purchased on Saturday, 28th February, at Brett’s Centra on the Melitta Road in Kildare Town.
The Kildare winner has since made contact with the National Lottery Prize Claims team and arrangements are now being made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prize.
Meanwhile, two Daily Million syndicates from Kildare and Donegal arrived at Lottery Headquarters this week to claim their top prize amounts from February draws.
On 16 February, a Kildare syndicate also had a memorable start to their week after scooping the top prize of €1 million in the 9pm Monday night draw. Their winning ticket was purchased online.
“Can you believe that I thought we had won €1,000 initially. Even at that, I was in shock and then I looked a little closer. I told the rest of the syndicate, who of course, didn’t believe me. They waited for me to call the Claims team to get the prize confirmed before getting ahead of themselves with the celebrations.” The Kildare winners have already started to think about what to do with their windfall.
“Looking after family is the first thing we’ll do. I would absolutely love to buy a place in Spain as well. The promise of sunshine would be the ultimate dream!”
Nearly 30â¯cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to good causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts,â¯heritageâ¯and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 billion has been raised for good causes since the National Lottery wasâ¯established.
