A MAN accused of kicking two gardaí during a domestic dispute arrest was sent for trial at a recent sitting of Naas District Court.

Davin Nolan (29), with an address at Crookstown Lower, Ballitore, was before Judge Desmond Zaidan for formal presentation of his book of evidence for two counts of assault causing harm to the attending officers at an address in Darley Park, Rathangan on 16 December 2022 – the day after his birthday.

“Gardai were called to a premises in Rathangan for a domestic dispute, and the defendant got aggressive with the officers,” said Sergeant Dave Hanrahan.

“He kicked one in the chest, and one in the leg, but no injuries were sustained,” he added.

Judge Zaidan accepted this and and adjourned the case to the next sittings of the Circuit Court across the hall at Naas courthouse, beginning on 7 October.
He added: “Any related, outstanding charges will be added to the indictment."
