Kildare ploughing queens honoured at presentation night 

Eilish Osborne All Ireland Plowing Champion and Winner Queen of the Plough and Aine Gray U/21 Junior Convential Champion at Rathneiska

Kildare Ploughing Association recently held a Presentation Night in the Milltown Inn to celebrate the success of Ailish Osborne and Aine Gray at the All-Ireland Ploughing Championships 2024.

Kilkea native Ailish Osborne won the Farmette Class on behalf of Kildare, making her the first Kildare woman in recent times to be crowned Queen of the Plough.

Aine Gray of Feighcullen, Rathangan, represented Kildare in the u21 Junior Class and placed first against competitors nationwide.

Both women placed first in their respective classes at the Kildare Ploughing Championships last February and went on to represent Kildare at the All-Ireland competition.

The presidents of the Kildare Ploughing Association, Michael Bryne and Paddy O’Grady presented both women with their awards at the event in Milltown.
