Kildare security firm nominated for national awards

ONE of Newbridge’s finest homegrown successes is in the spotlight again with the news that Sean Hall’s security firm Manguard Plus is back in the hunt for yet more success at the security industry’s most prestigious awards.
The Outstanding Security Providers Awards (OSPAs) recognise leaders and outstanding professionalism across the industry and Manguard Plus has been shortlisted in seven categories.
The Hawkfield-based company, which is Ireland largest privately-owned Irish security company with an annual turnover north of €30 million, has already won several accolades since the inaugural OSPAs awards in 2022. This includes taking the much-coveted Best Security Guarding Company in the country for three years in a row, copper-fastening its reputation as the industry leader in Ireland.
“Being shortlisted once again for the OSPAs, this time in seven categories, is a huge honour for all of us at Manguard Plus,” said CEO Sean Hall (60), a previous winner of the inaugural OSPA Lifetime Achievement Award. “It is important recognition by our peers of our ongoing commitment to excellence, hard work and continuous improvement across the entire industry.
“We are almost 30 years in the industry and continually strive to deliver the best service to our valued clients, many of whom are with us since our foundation. The industry has evolved so much in those years, it has become much more demanding, and it is vital to keep up with the changing environment.

The winners of the 2025 OSPAs will be announced at the event on 23 May.
Manguard is itself nominated for Outstanding Contract Security Company, while four of its executives – Steve Coleman, John O’Brien, Gary Bergin and Rayssa Rodrigues Vitorio – have been nominated for individual awards, while two of their Dublin-based outfits have got the nod for Outstanding Security Team.
