Kildare soldier meets newborn daughter for first time at Dublin Airport

Mam (Sarah) introduced Dad (Graeme) to their daughter Bébhinn for the very first time

A TOUCHING moment was captured at Dublin Airport last night as a Kildare soldier met his seven-week-old daughter for the very first time after months serving overseas with the Irish Defence Forces.

Graeme had been deployed on duty in Lebanon since November 4 and only returned home to Ireland this week, where he was greeted by his partner Sarah and their baby daughter Bébhinn.

Dublin Airport shared the “special” moment online via its Twitter account this morning.

In an emotional moment captured at the airport, Sarah introduced Graeme to little Bébhinn, marking the first time the father had the chance to hold his newborn daughter in person.

The heartwarming family reunion came after a lengthy deployment overseas, with the Defence Forces member missing the birth and early weeks of his daughter’s life while serving in Lebanon.
