Kildare tech company announces appointment to senior role
Eimear and Michael Cronin, managing director at OpenSky also attached
KILDARE-based OpenSky, a data, AI and governance specialist, has appointed Eimear Dunne as head of people and transformation.
The newly scoped role marks a significant milestone in OpenSky's growth strategy as the company continues to expand its operations across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Employing 87 people and operating from offices in Naas, OpenSky helps enterprise organisations in government, healthcare and pharmaceuticals deploy, govern and operate AI and data systems safely at scale.
As the business continues to scale, it is actively embedding artificial intelligence (AI) and automation into both its internal operating model and client delivery pathways.
The company was established in 2024 and is based in the Osprey Business Campus.
In her new head of people and transformation role, Eimear will lead OpenSky’s AI-enabled workforce strategy and oversee the rollout of its new operating model over the coming 12 months.
Her focus will centre on proactive skills forecasting, building internal career progression pathways, and aligning team structures with emerging AI capabilities.
By embedding workforce planning centrally into operational planning and quarterly business reviews, the function aims to ensure talent capability directly supports a rapid turnaround on enhanced client commitments and long-term financial objectives.
Michael Cronin, managing director at OpenSky, said: “Eimear has already laid vital groundwork across our business, mapping how technology and AI affect day-to-day roles while building clear development tracks for our teams. We are at a pivotal point in OpenSky’s expansion.
“Having someone of Eimear’s vision and capability leading our workforce strategy gives us confidence as we continue to scale efficiently while enabling faster delivery, enhanced focus on customer outcomes and governance.”
Ms Dunne added: “Clients do not buy technology in isolation; they are interested in people who deeply understand their world and bring the judgement, credibility, and curiosity to solve complex problems.
"As AI reshapes the industry, our response at OpenSky is to give our people the skills, support, and room to grow into what that work becomes.
“I am thrilled to step into this role to build a workforce strategy where our capability stays ahead of industry demand and our people find their next career milestone right here at OpenSky.”
Eimear joined OpenSky in 2022 as people & culture manager and a member of the senior management team, leading the people & culture function enterprise wide.
During her time in the role, she spearheaded the groundwork for the company’s Transformation Unit and designed structured internal career pathways across consultancy, technical, and support functions.
Prior to joining OpenSky, Eimear held senior HR positions across corporate, legal, and real estate sectors, including HR business partner at BNP Paribas Real Estate, HR generalist at Dillon Eustace Solicitors, and HR & regulatory officer at Knight Frank.
She holds an MBA in Business Management (specialising in Human Resources) from Dublin Business School, a Professional Diploma in Leadership and Management from UCD Professional Academy, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
She also holds CIPD certifications in Human Resource Management and Employment Law & Industrial Relations.
